Samsung’s CEO, DongJin Koh, confessed a couple of days ago that his company messed up the launch of Galaxy Fold, which ultimately caused the phone’s delay.

Bloomberg has now published a report that shows that Samsung has successfully redesigned the foldable phone. Some insiders have disclosed that the screen protector film and the hinge design have been improved.

The main problem was that of the film screen, which many reviewers attempted to rip off assuming for a screen protector which rendered the phone useless.

The film is extended and tucked under the exterior bezels of the device in the Galaxy Fold’s re-designed version to prevent from peeling.

Bloomberg says that, as quickly as the company decides on a launch date, Samsung will ship parts to their plant in Vietnam.

Rumors suggest that we will see the new phone at the Galaxy Note 10 series launch on 7 August, 2019, but it looks unlikely at this stage.

Since this is a significant new product that has the potential to change the industry, and Samsung will probably hold a separate event.
