WhatsApp is continuously updating its mobile app to improve user experience with new features.

Soon, the instant message app would introduce a feature that allows users to preview voice notes in the notifications panel.

WhatsApp currently enables users to preview pictures and videos via the notification bar.

According to WABetaInfo, the app will soon expand its preview to include speech notes. WhatsApp for iOS will soon be provided with a push notification preview for speech notes, according to the website.

It is not clear when the feature would be rolled out precisely or under which update. Also, WABetaInfo did not mention the function being made available on Android.

Another feature called Quick Edit Media Shortcut was recently found being tested in the messaging application. The feature allows users to edit media files shared in the app.

On iOS, you can find a shortcut next to the Share button, while Android users can tap three points on the top right-hand side.

WABetaInfo states that the newly edited media will not replace the original shared file. It can be used to edit media files that are shared both individually and in group chats.

The Quick Edit Media Shortcut is under development and should be published with the next releases on both iOS and Android according to the report.
